Applications

Applications of Gods Gift to Gardens are:

The most amazing feature of "Gods Gift to Gardens" is its versatility. It can be used to pot, plant and mulch. It has been used successfully as a seed-raising medium for commercial tree nurseries.

Potting:
For pots, planters or hanging baskets simply fill the container with "Gods Gift to Gardens" and plant as normal! There is no odour so it can be used indoors. Alternatively mix GG to G 50/50 with a good potting mix and plant as normal.

Planting Seedlings:
Dig a 15cm x 15cm hole fill with "Gods Gift to Gardens" and plant the seedling. Scatter some around the surface and water in.

Transplanting, Shrubs, Trees and Vines:
Dig the required size hole; place a good quantity of Gods Gift in bottom, place plant in the required position and backfill with soil mixed in with "Gods Gift to Gardens". Place some around the surface and water in well.

Soil Conditioning:

Apply a layer of 25 to 100 millimetres of "Gods Gift to Gardens" on to the existing soil surface that is sufficiently moist. Work in with a shovel, rake or garden fork. Use a rotary hoe for larger areas. This is a first class method for establishing a new lawn or garden bed.

Seed Raising:

Simply fill the seed containers with "Gods Gift to Gardens" and sow seeds at the desired depth then damp down with water. Keep the container moist during the germination period. By adding an organic liquid seaweed or fish emulsion drench will also assist in raising good strong healthy seedlings.

Mulching:

Spread "Gods Gift to Gardens" approximately 5cm deep on top of wet garden bed. If weeds are present either hand weed prior to application or alternatively spread several sheets of newspaper on surface, dampen and apply compost. Water again when the job is completed! We recommend that this product not be used as mulch in areas that are prone to strong winds.
